Boca Raton will be celebrating its 30th Annual Greek Festival this weekend and it will include food and festivities for the whole family to enjoy.

A domestic violence charge was the result of a fight that broke out after there was a dispute over the volume on the stereo.

According to police, a call was made last week after midnight that stated that a 56-year-old man attacked two of his family members after they asked him to turn down the music. The man was arrested for domestic assault and resisting arrest.

The man’s niece told police that the man had blasting music after arriving home from work. When the woman told the man to turn it down and when he did not, she did it herself.

He then picked up the stereo and hit the woman in the head with it before hitting her multiple times. The woman’s father then pulled him off of the woman and the fight continued between the two men outside, according to police reports.

Actor Russell Brand filed for divorce  from pop star wife, Katy Perry on Friday after 14 months of marriage.

The couple did not have a prenuptial agreement in their divorce and according to California law, Brand may have half of the Perry’s fortune. Sources think that he may be up for nearly $20 million.

Brand cited “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce papers. There have been rumors circulating that the couple was having difficulty in their marriage, but Brand recently denied the rumors.
