Two judicial districts in North Dakota are participating in a project to help resolve child custody disputes. The districts participating are the Northeast Central Judicial District and the South Central Judicial District. Thus far 5 cases have been completed, and mediation was successful in resolving all differences in 4 of the 5.
The state hopes mediation will set an example for parents on how to resolve their future disputes in civil fashion. Mediation is not currently widely used. The court will report its findings to the Legislature who will determine whether to expand the program statewide.
If you are going through a custody battle, call an experienced Boca Raton divorce lawyer at the office of Eric N. Klein & Associates, P.A. by dialing 561-353-2600.
